Na Ala o Wakea is a unique and very special piece created by a master of the traditional art of kapa making in honor of Mauna Kea. The wauke was harvested from Ka'elepulu, dried, soaked and beat many times to create the textured fabric in a process that is centuries old. The kapa is colored with hand-made dyes of natural alaea from Kaua'i, and 'olena grown in Luluku Valley.
