Fences and Barriers is oil on masonite panel measuring 39" H x 35" W.

Artist's Statement:

Many of my paintings are abstracted forms and shapes often found in the MS Delta, my lifelong home.  I've always been struck by the notion of fences and barriers, both physically and metaphorically.  The materials in fences are varied - often found materials cobbled together in random patterns.  Likewise, our psychological barriers are often formed unintentionally and without any consideration for structure or order.  This painting is my interpretation of these ideas.

I hope you enjoy this painting.  I have attached the necessary hanging hardware and instructions.  It is very easy...all you need is a tape measure, a level, a pencil, and a hammer!

Thank you for participating in the auction for the GRAMMY Museum!
