Luna was the first winery to plant the Italian varietal, Pinot Grigio along the Silverado Trail and we are certainly proud of our history and our estate wine.
Our vineyard is located in the southern end of Napa Valley,
known for providing excellent growing conditions for white wines.
Its proximity to the San Francisco Bay provides morning fog and cooling afternoon breezes, both beneficial in retaining Pinot Grigio’s delicate fruit and acidity.
2016 Sangiovese Classico, 1 bottle, 750ml
Our 2016 Sangiovese Classico comes from a variety of prized vineyards including the Game Farm Vineyard on the Silverado Trail below Rector Creek Dam. In these shallow, rocky soils, the stressed vines produce superior quality Sangiovese.
Additionally, we source Sangiovese from cooler regions throughout Napa Valley. The 2016 vintage experienced ideal growing conditions, which produced perfectly balanced and condensed fruit.
This wine is perfectly approachable at a young age; however, it will keep improving for the next five to seven years.

Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items in Napa at a location and date to be arranged -- details will be emailed to winning bidders. Items not picked up by March 5 will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs.
Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped (if possible) on or around Tuesday, February 9, unless you tell us that you wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. Please contact us at sbspcauction@gmail.com by February 8 if you plan to pick up your auction winnings.
