Description
Stark Literacy aims to provide comprehensive, therapeutic, individualized reading intervention for those who have been diagnosed with dyslexia and related reading difficulties.
Stark Literacy provides a structured-literacy reading intervention by a highly trained Academic Language Therapist and teacher. Amy Stark, founder of Stark Literacy, has been a special education teacher in public and charter schools since 2003. She has worked with students with mild to moderate disabilities ranging in ages from kindergarten to high school. Her passion is learning about how the brain learns and using that knowledge to help students learn to read, despite various reading difficulties.
The three hours in this lot includes Assessment/Pre-Testing, time to go over results with the parents and 2 hours of therapy with the student.
Tutoring will occur remotely over zoom and requires the recipient to have an electronic device with a camera and an internet connection. Arrangement of the tutoring time can occur no matter the time zone the person is living in.
Special Instructions
Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items in Napa at a location and date to be arranged -- details will be emailed to winning bidders. Items not picked up by March 5, 2021, will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Note that we will automatically mail gift cards and gift certificates for free -- no need to pick those up.)
Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped on or around Tuesday, February 9, 2021, unless you tell us that you wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Gift cards and gift certificates ship for free.)
