About the artist:
My name is Tali Melter, I was born in 1975, and I immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Union in the early 1990s.
The idea to create "Fantastic Israel" was born in Paris. During a family visit, our host's daughter started to color in a beautiful coloring book. A small glance revealed that the girl was not painting a unicorn or princess coloring book, but a fantastic illustration of the St. Martin canal that was a ten-minute walk from her home. "This is our way of connecting our daughter to the city she lives" her parents explained.
Thus, was born the idea to create Israeli coloring books.
Four years ago, I went on a journey in Israel together with hundreds of Jewish women from all over the world as part of Momentum Israeli sisters.
In May 2018, during the Momentum leadership conference in Israel, I understood how the connection to Israel is important to Jewish women. Unfortunately, not everyone can bring her family to see the beauty of Israel. Then, I decided to bring to life the idea of coloring books about Israel and to build a stronger connection to Israel among young Jewish families.
