Description

The Works of Thoreau, selected and edited by Henry S. Canby. Houghton Mifflin Company, 1937. Hardcover, 846 pp.  You may be familiar with Canby's classic biography of Thoreau. This companion volume, in similar red cloth binding, is a compilation of Thoreau's writings. It includes all of Walden and abridged editions of A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers, The Maine Woods, and Cape Cod, as well as other essays, journal excerpts, and poems. A fine stand-alone volume. This copy has multiple ownerships written inside the front cover, and the back hinge has been helped with tape. Otherwise, it's good to go.
