"My name is Rivka Schwartz. I am a certified Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach and member of the American Herbalist Guild.
I have loved plants and the outdoors since I was a child. If not outside, I could frequently be found cooking in the kitchen! After marrying my husband, Laurence, and having three boys, these two passions combined. The experience of watching out for the health of my family lead me to realize the importance of diet and how herbs can be used to promote health ...not just when ill, but to encourage an everyday health and vitality.
To build my knowledge of health and herbs, I completed a two year course in herbal medicine and continued on advanced clinical studies. I am always actively learning and increasing my knowledge and skills. Since college I have been an environmental educator and enjoyed teaching at nature centers. I also enjoy the time I spend creating healthy foods and herbal preparations and love sharing these skills with others.
I have an extensive background in how diet, sleep, movement and stress effect a person's health and I understand ways to build a healthy lifestyle. I have a vast knowledge of herbs and their health benefits and I am able to look at a person's specific health concern ...anything from an acute illness or a chronic problem, and build a plan. These plans are great for prevention and general health.
I can provide you with a plan, the herbal products you need ...even teach you how to make your own herbs! ...it's all about helping to provide the knowledge and abilities for you to improve your health.
