Nichols Tenney Farm is a multi-generational private family farm operating in Hollis, NH.
William Tenney was an early settler of Hollis, moving to the community from Rowley, Massachusetts around 1747. About this time, he built a home and developed a farm at 16 Pepperell Road which would later become Nichols Tenney Farm. The home still stands in its original location, set back from Pepperell Road through a lane of maples.
In the 1960s, Hollis Nichols, an active resident in the community, purchased the farm from the 6th generation of the Hollis Tenney family. It then became known as Nichols Tenney Farm: named for the two families who have lived there since its beginning. Hollis’ grandsons, Benjamin & Charles, continue to operate the farm to this day, raising livestock, and working side by side with nearby Brookdale Farm to maintain the crops and orchards.
