The Horses of the Sun “Therapy with Alpacas” program in Vars is designed to help clients with ADD, ADHD, ASD, and mobility challenges overcome anxiety, low self-esteem, concentration issues, and fear of failure. These classes are not recommended for children with anger or aggression problems. About Alpacas: Alpacas are widely regarded as the cutest of the Camelidae family, which also includes llamas, guanacos, vicuñas, and camels. With their floppy tufts, slender necks, mesmerizing eyes, and sweet grins, they are “cuteness” impersonated. Alpaca are gentle and calm, and have a serene manner, yet they often seem to be torn between curiosity and shyness, with curiosity usually winning the inner struggle. They are social, herd animals – therefore enjoy company - and communicate with soft humming sounds. These intelligent animals are easy to handle, including by children, and are very therapeutic to be with.
