As part of Kalandar Rehabilitation/Education Support Project, Wildlife SOS has extended financial support to the Kalandar's future generations, in order to break free from the vicious cycle of poverty. The Kalandar community was formerly involved in exploiting sloth bear cubs from the wild and incorporating them into the brutal practice of Dancing Bears. Wildlife SOS provides them a chance at formal schooling and avails them the needed supplies including books, school bags and stationery.
