Artist's Statement: Rangeela's rescue took place across international borders, during the heavy rains of the Indian monsoon. Despite the challenges, Wildlife SOS was determined to rescue this bear from Nepal and bring him to safety. In the Hindi language, "Rangeela" means colorful. I painted him here against a background of the colors of the rainbow. Splashes of color reflect on his fur to depict his colorful personality.
