Ginny is one of 5 sloth bears who were rescued a year ago by Forestwatch, the anti poaching unit of at wildlifesos as they were being transported from India to Nepal where they would have been sold to be used as dancing bears. The poachers had already pierced the bears' sensitive muzzles with heated metal rods; the bear reacts to the excruciating pain of the rope which goes through the hole by "dancing"
Sadly, Ginny passed away earlier this year from cancer. Her playful spirit is perfectly captured in this artwork.
