Description

This Indian Roller painting is by Julie Swenson, a regular donor to Wildlife SOS. It is gouache/colored pencil on illustration board.  The Indian Roller is best known for the aerobatic displays of males during the breeding season. It is often seen perched along roadside trees and wires and are commonly seen in open grassland and scrub forest habitats. The largest population occurs in India, and several states in India have chosen it as their state bird. 

Size: Roughly 12" x 10" 


From the Artist: I have been an illustrator for 25 years. I've recently stopped being a commercial artist and have opted to be a fine artist, which was my goal 25 years ago! I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband, two kids, four cats, one great Dane, and about 50 fish.
