About the Artist: Kris Loya grew up on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. Surrounded by the vibrant colors of tropical flowers and blue-green seas, it was only natural that she would become an artist. Largely self-taught, Kris has been playing with watercolor for more than twenty years. In recent years, she says she's come to value it as her meditation practice. She hopes her images may bring people joy, peace, and a moment of silent contemplation.
