Sadiya is an 8th grader going to Banas Public School, Rajasthan. A dutiful student, she is ahead in all her school work, especially her favourite subject Hindi. Her mother’s artistic prowess in beadwork and embroidery has been passed on to Sadiya, as she aspires to become a Fashion Designer when she grows up. The coronavirus pandemic has been really difficult on Sadiya and her family,as she was unable to go to school. Sadiya remained in touch with her teachers and classmates and worked harder in order to make up for the time lost!

The COVID19 lockdown has been difficult for his family to fare through. The Kalandar community was once involved in the barbaric practice of dancing bears for sustenance and survival. Wildlife SOS has worked extensively to eradicate the practice of dancing bears from the country. Additionally, these rescued bears have been rehabilitated at our rescue centers spread across the country. We have also provided sustainable alternative livelihoods to the Kalandar community. Your contribution could lead to a bigger role in helping Sadiya accomplish his goals of becoming a Designer.
