Description
17 year old Neha Bano is a bright young student of Banas Public School in Rajasthan. She loves watching cricket in her free-time and listening to Bollywood songs. Neha is a formidable student who loves Hindi, especially Hindi poetry. She is focused on achieving her dreams of becoming a police officer when she's older. Since the pandemic struck, schools have been shut as a precautionary measure but that does not stop Neha from studying harder than ever. Her teacher has been assigning her homework through the phone and is readily available to address her doubts. However, the past year has been gruelling for Neha as her father was paralyzed after an accident, ever since her mother has been tending to Neha and her siblings.
The Kalandar community was once involved in the barbaric practice of dancing bears for sustenance and survival. Wildlife SOS has worked extensively to eradicate the practice of dancing bears from the country. Additionally, these rescued bears have been rehabilitated at our rescue centers spread across the country. We have also provided sustainable alternative livelihoods to the Kalandar community. Your contribution could lead to a bigger role in helping Neha accomplish her goals of becoming a Police Officer.
