13 year old, Nargish is a force to reckon with, especially with her bubbling energy and charming smile! She has big dreams of becoming a professional dancer when she is older, and finds time every day to practise her moves. She is thoroughly inspired by classical dancers and is very observant in understanding each step., Nargish is a 7th grader at Nehru Children Academy, Rajasthan, and her  favourite subject is Urdu. Covid-19 has drastically impacted Nargish and her family, without a constant income for sustenance. Her school also remained shut during this period, and she dearly missed not being able to go out . 

The COVID19 lockdown has been difficult for her family to fare through but the Kalandar community has received livelihood support during the pandemic. The Kalandar community was once involved in the barbaric practice of dancing bears for sustenance and survival. Wildlife SOS has worked extensively to eradicate the practice of dancing bears from the country. Additionally, these rescued bears have been rehabilitated at our rescue centers spread across the country. We have also provided sustainable alternative livelihoods to the Kalandar community.
