An ardent reader,  Shahrukh is a true bibliophile at heart and loves reading English prose and poetry. He is only  14 years and is presently studying at S.D.D Academy, Uttar Pradesh. He loves going to school, and studying English. His favourite hobbies are playing cricket and football with his classmates. He has big dreams of becoming a police officer when he grows up. 

The COVID19 lockdown has been difficult for all but the Kalandar community has received livelihood support during the pandemic. The Kalandar community was once involved in the barbaric practice of dancing bears for sustenance and survival. Wildlife SOS has worked extensively to eradicate the practice of dancing bears from the country. Additionally, these rescued bears have been rehabilitated at our rescue centers spread across the country. We have also provided sustainable alternative livelihoods to the Kalandar community.
