A hand embroidered hoop art of Jiya the leopard.
Jiya has called the Leopard Rescue Centre in Maharashtra her home for over 10 years now. She was rescued as a 1.5 month old cub when her mother succumbed to injuries, leaving Jiya orphaned. Wildlife SOS provides long-term care and treatment to leopards recued from situations of conflict, orphaned as cubs and handicapped by ruthless poachers, while actively rescuing leopards from situations of distress.
Material used: Cotton fabric, embroidery skeins, 10" bamboo hoop
Artist bio: Arinita is a self-taught embroidery artist whose work is inspired by nature, books and pop culture. She weaves her magic into her hoopart part-time and is a full-time Wildlife SOS employee who handles press and media relations, video editing and much more!
