Make some popcorn and gather around a screen with the whole family for a special Stone Academy screening of “Monty and Rose,” the story of Chicago’s endangered Piping Plovers. Stone parent Bob Dolgan made the film in 2019 as a volunteer plover monitor at Chicago’s Montrose Beach. “Monty and Rose” has been an official selection of the One Earth Film Festival and was broadcast on WTTW Channel 11 in 2020. This family-friendly film is 23 minutes long. Bob will be on hand to introduce the film, provide an update on the birds and to answer your questions. The evening will conclude with the 1 minute, 53 second bonus short “Dodger.”
