Third Grade studied some of the great grains of the world (some are pseudocerials -not truly grains- like quinoa which is not a grass and more closely related to spinach) each of these grains has played a major role in feeding the people where these grains grow!
We took the time to learn about their cultivation and learned a little about each grain and it's uses. This work is a collaborative piece with half the classes careful pencil drawing of the grain and a water color background.
