This bilingual book is based on interviews of 30 Maya women of the CRP-Sierra who relayed their personal stories of the 36-year-old civil war through embroideries.

Scholarship students of Foundations for Education, a non-profit organization that has worked in the Guatemalan highlands of El Quiche for many years, conducted and transcribed the interviews.
