Based in Thousand Oaks, Lava West is the undisputed premier girls volleyball club in Ventura County with a vast array of successes both regionally and nationally since the club's inception in 2011. Our program fields more than a dozen national travel teams annually across multiple age divisions with multiple youth and juniors non-travel programs, as well. Our athletes come from all over: the Conejo Valley, the San Fernando Valley, Santa Barbara to Simi Valley, Moorpark to Malibu, Calabasas to Santa Clarita, Woodland Hills to West Los Angeles, and all areas of greater Ventura County, even Ojai.

Lava West practices out of a handful of indoor gym facilities, all located in Thousand Oaks a stone's throw from where the 101 meets the 23. The Club Director for LAVA West is Trevor Julian (trevorjulian@gmail.com or 818-631-7785).

*Lava West has been crushing volleyball- and crushing the pandemic. We have been highly successful with our covid health protocols and have not had a single case of covid transmission in our gym, ever. We use hand sanitizer liberally and are still "mask up" at this time for all coaches, athletes, and spectators. If you have questions about our protocols, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Lava West is part of the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA), one of the largest and most respected girls and boys youth and juniors club volleyball organizations in the region.

3rd-5th graders-The Lite Program is the official Youth Training Program of LAVA, designed to give elementary school athletes a taste of volleyball in a fun environment that combines quality skills training with lots of fun games.

6th-8th graders- The Non-Travel Program is a skills training program for middle school athletes (6th-8th grade girls) not playing club volleyball on a travel team, but who wish to keep their skills up either out of love for the game or a desire to play for their school team, or both! Our Non-Travel Programs limit both the cost and time commitment required to participate, but still provides excellent training at the hands of our exemplary LAVA coaching staff.

We have two Non-Travel Programs: the Juniors Program (for 6th-8th grade girls) and the 6th Grade Series (for sixth grade girls only).
