Second Grade: "Wise Owls"--mixed media on canvas (16x20" horizontal)
The Bible tells us in James 1:5 that "if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." This collage of wise owls is a good reminder to ask the Lord for wisdom! After creating larger owl drawings, second-grade students drew these smaller owl shapes, which they colored with marker and water to create a watercolor effect. Their owls were then combined onto a painted canvas.
