In 1971, the Wong Family opened its first restaurant in Hammond. China Inn was a small A-Frame building on West Thomas Street. With community support, it grew to a 110 seat restaurant in Kinchen Plaza and again to the Mandeville and Hammond Trey Yuen. After 46 years, the Wong Family will be retiring their Hammond location (May 31, 2017).  Our efforts will be consolidated into our Mandeville Trey Yuen, please come and continue to dine with us. 

The restaurant was designed by both American and Chinese architects to emulate Chinese palaces. The restaurants feature imported rosewood ceilings, carved wall panels, antique furnishings, statues, and artwork as well as inlaid mother of pearl dining chairs. Lush gardens, waterfalls, pagodas and koi ponds surround the restaurant.
