Story behind the item: "For a couple of years, I had been wishing to create a wood burned piece for the online auction, but was waiting find the 'right' imagery or concept that I could work into a wood medium. While passing through a hallway on The Seeing Eye® campus, I saw the large portrait of Buddy on the wall. I've seen it several times before, but was struck with how it captured her watchful, loving eyes. I immediately thought, 'That's it! That's the picture!' I enjoyed working the details into the piece from the image and applying textures using my familiarity with German Shepherds as a puppy raiser."
