This one of a kind hand-woven basket will surely put a smile on your face when you look inside to see the small scrimshaw like-disc at the bottom. The open oval basket is made in the traditional Nantucket Lightship style with a tightly woven rattan body, reinforced wood bottom signed and dated by NJ artisan, Pamela Wilson.  Inside it features a hand painted and colored scrim of a smiling and sassy German shepherd sitting in front of a summer flower garden.   The basket is woven in cane and has a beautiful cherry wood hand, rims and base.  it measures 13" long x 10" wide and 5.5" high without the handle or 12" with the hand.  Although it is lightweight, Nantucket baskets are very strong.
