Included in this special class package is an exquisite 20”x40” canvas painting of a flowering magnolia tree representing rebirth -- of spring and of hope. This artwork was personally donated by Ms. Wilen, who encouraged each of her students this year to adopt their own tree. This tree was a way of centering the child’s hopes and wishes as based on the beloved class book “Wishtree” by Newbery Award winning author Katherine Applegate. These adopted trees are collectively captured in the accompanying beautifully framed 12”x18” Wishtree class photo collage.
