Sport Dog Seminar Day (6+ hrs), 1/2 day Weight Pull/Resistance Training & 1/2 day K9 Nose Work® Training

The winning bidder and up to 3 friends with their dog(s) to a private full day seminar consisting of weight pull/canine resistance training instruction and K9 Nose Work© instruction in CT or MA. Dogs who struggle with reactivity are encouraged to attend.

The weight pull portion is suitable for healthy dogs over the age of 10 months; content will be tailored to the experience of the handlers and dogs. The K9NW® instruction is suitable for dogs already on at least one trained odor (birch or anise or clove); novice dogs still pairing are welcome.

Natalka Tuczkewycz (Thread City Weight Pull) has over 7 years of experience in the conditioning activity and sport of canine weight pull; she is a licensed judge for Iron Dog Weight Pull Judge and in Sept 2021 she will be a fully licensed UKC Weight Pull Judge. She has trained 2 Champions, who she continues to compete with, holds seminars; mentors new trainers and competitors; and judges at every opportunity.  

Jennifer Brown, CNWI (K9 Sniff Works) has 22 years of experience in the world of canine scent work and ten years in the sport of K9NW®, instructing as a CNWI since 2013, and is an AKC scent work judge; she has taught K9NW® in China, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, and the US as well as helped shelters develop nose work programs for dogs waiting for adoption. Additionally, she is a human remains and USAR live find disaster dog handler.

Location will either be in CT or western MA; most likely this will be an outdoor event in CT due to the nature of weight pull training but if it is inside, it will be on the second floor of a training center in MA (no elevator).

Redemption dates between October 2021 and December 2022. Date to be determined by instructors and participants schedule availability.
