Located within Odiorne Point State Park, Seacoast Science Center features the amazing creatures that live in the Gulf of Maine, just outside its doors. Discover how sea stars “walk”, male seahorses give birth, and how chain catsharks got their name. Learn about whales and other marine mammals of New England and about the work they do to protect them.
See colorful fish dart about the living corals tank, learn about recently-discovered cold water corals off its shore, and discover how important diverse reef ecosystems are for ocean health and our own health.
Outdoors, explore tide pooling at its best, beautiful seaside habitats and vistas, trails that meander through the park, picnic areas, and more.
