Description
This tea pot sculpture is a light example of the Hages’ playful, yet sublime style of expression. A focal point on one’s bookshelf can remind the viewer that life contains both joy and gravity in the same moment. We recommend also picking up and holding the tea pot from time to time to continually experience the artists’ expression not only visually, but also through touch. Originally purchased in 1999 on Newbury St in Boston for $600, this piece is part of one of our therapists' personal tea pot collection and has made its way to California via spending some time spent in Japan.
11.5" tall.
About the Artists:
The process originates with low fire or high fire clay, glazes and stains. Each piece combines wheel throwing and hand building. Metallic luster of 24-carat gold or platinum enhance the design or lend an “attitude” to each piece. Some sculptures are embellished with cast clay symbolic objects, either hand carved or collected from our adventures.
Barry is the Master Potter of fifty years while both Rosalind and Barry design and decorate forms entirely on their own.
We foresee and embrace the continuing evolution of our work through living, creating.
