Artist Statement

Laya Joseph is a contemporary abstract artist, originally from India and a New Yorker for the last 15 years. A self-taught artist with a formal education in Botany, she has been a lifelong art enthusiast and started painting professionally in 2018. She primarily works with acrylic and mixed media and her paintings are mostly conceptual, done in an abstract or semi abstract style.
