This winter I drove through a burned forest in Grand County. While extremely upsetting and barren, the black and white contrast was amazing! The landscape told a difficult story of loss and destruction but also of calm and rebirth. This multimedia on wood panel has charcoal from the Cameron Peak fire embedded in the paint and wood.
