The whole experience of the fires here in Colorado was so traumatizing. Many of my friends lost their houses and cabins. I wanted to show the impact of the fire on trees and wildlife.
I placed the pheasant feathers because my family farm had dozens of pheasants and we even raised them (and posted our land!)
