For more than eight years, I have focused on book sculptures, cutting books into smaller pieces and combining them with wood and natural fibers and, occasionally, encaustic. The pieces are small and force the viewer closer, as reading a book does. Aged paper of books that are no longer of value are given new life as an object to be saved and universally recognized as a small icon.
