This was one of the first ones I made, working with the ashes from Colorado. Trees are a favorite subject of mine. I often add words to my art, so this was all second nature to me. I remember when my family lived in California, above the Los Angeles area. I took my dauther's scout troop to a nature reserve there, and the guide taught us "some of these trees only drop their seeds after being scorched by nature's fires. They only grow more trees when there is room and need to grow more!"
