As an emotional artist, I literally put myself into this one. I drew a woman with the ashes first, and put a necklace on her with a single evergreen, to show her passion for the trees. I next painted flames all around her with an acrylic orange ink. I let it sit on my studio desk for a week. As I flipped through the images of Poudre Canyon, I saw several with a river and a rock outcropping that looked like a bird's eye. I knew then that beautiful view I prayed would return again in all its glory, as I watched with one eye peeping out. 

May the growth begin again and return the balance.
