As an artist, I am passionate about nature and concerned about man's impact on it. When I paint a landscape, I am always wondering: Will this last? With thin building oil layers I try to capture the emotive grounding quality of a scene. Its breath, the air, the light--its Being. I want the viewer to step into the painting, that moment, and reflect on their place within it.
