This Woods by Weiss marquetry was crafted as an overaly consisting of thin veneer of different woods carefully fitted together to form the pattern you see here.  The wood veneer piece makes a charming scene of  couple setting sail.  This piece is entitled "Tall Sails" and it measures 17 by 21 inches.
