Description

Antique hand carved bookends by P. E. Caron, a master woodcarver from Quebec, Canada. These vintage folk-art carvings were sculpted from a light colored wood in the early 1950's. The right side depicts an old man standing next to a well with a moving bucket. The left side depicts an old woman standing in front of an outdoor bread oven with a backing paddle. The artist carved his name into the left base bookend.
