Our Garden Room teacher, Amy Weil, is an accomplished painter with an established career. When she is not teaching, she is usually at her studio in Gowanus painting in Encaustic. She finds that the process involved in encaustic painting is both intuitive and direct. Using a layering and scraping process. Amy allows the colors and images to emerge in unexpected ways.
