Artist Statement:
My main focus in my leather hobby is making leather products that will last two lifetimes. Everything that is made is made with 100% full grain leather. From leather flasks to purses, wallets to holsters, there is something for everyone.
Artist Biography:
In 2010 my family and I visited Fort Sewall for their yearly Revolutionary War Encampment. My son Andrew immediately wanted to join. Fast forward two years down the road and my son Andrew made us join.... It was at that time that I spoke with Steven Orne about his leather canteen. Interestingly enough, 15 years prior, my wife Amy purchased me a leather canteen at a Shakers Village in NH. That canteen had always been my all time favorite gift. It collected dust and I hardly ever moved it from its perch on our armoire. I knew it was hand made and I had never seen another like it. Having some skills in woodworking I decided to give it a try. Each time I made a few, they immediately sold and each time someone viewed my work, they always asked if I could make them "X". My reply, "Sure". From canteens to wallets, holsters, knife sheaths, book covers, trays and woman's bags, my hobby has expanded. I take pride in each piece that I make and know that it will last two lifetimes. I love working the hide. What can I make for you?
