Artist Statement:
Anyone lucky enough to see the elusive green flash at sunrise or sunset is endowed with the ability to discern true love, and can never be deceived in matters of the heart. For sailors, seeing the green flash is a sign of good fortune. This codfish was created with a monotype mounted on paper, overpainted with oil, topcoat with four layers of satin varnish. The head and fin have been antiqued with real gold leaf, and it is completed with a handmade glass eye. It can be damp wiped/dusted.
Artist Biography:

Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
