Artist Statement:
Growing up in Marblehead, I always loved walking along the beach, collecting shells and seaglass. After a recent conversation with my boss, who is from the Midwest and who had never heard of seaglass before, I discovered a newfound appreciation for living on the North Shore! This cod pays tribute not only to some of the most interesting and eclectic shells found all over the world, but also to the tides and ocean (which we are fortunate to have nearby). And of course, the title is a tribute to my o-fish-al and well-documented love of puns.
Artist Biography:
Lily Dolin is an artist and writer from Marblehead, MA. After graduating from New York University in 2019, Lily stayed in the city until the pandemic forced her to move back home with her parents (which has been a blessing and a curse but mostly a blessing). Currently, she works for United Talent Agency in the publishing department. In her spare time, she paints portraits and still-lifes, writes short stories, and solves crossword puzzles with only a minimal amount of cheating.

Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
