You are bidding on a Magnum of our 2017 Brooks Note Winery, Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir, PLUS a private tasting with Winemaker Garry Brooks.

The Wine: 

Weir vineyard was made famous by Pinot Noir producer Williams Seylem.  It sits on a south facing, gravely slope between 900 and 1000 feet elevation in the Yorkville Highlands, gateway to the Anderson Valley.  Fog from the Mendocino coast blankets the vineyard at night, yielding to warm, sunny days. The Pinot offers notes of raspberry, blackberry, mineral, fresh herbs and spice with a long silky finish.  It’s great by itself or with food.  There were only 250 cases of this wine produced!

The Tasting:

Garry worked as the Enologist for Kosta Browne and was the Assistant Winemaker at Dutton Goldfield before starting Brooks Note W/inery with his wife Joanne in 2011.  He’ll lead you and your friends (up to 6) on a barrel tasting tour of how he makes wines.  You will see how barrel maker, barrel age, vineyard, and clone selection come together to make great Pinot Noir.
