FTCNS Class Art: Maples - "Galaxy"

Item Number: 314
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
The Maples have enjoyed process-art since the beginning of the year. There have been loads of squeeze bottle painting, glue and collage projects. We decided to take the fun of squeezing giant amounts of paint into piles and teach the class the art of viscosity painting, using layered acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium. We carefully layered different colors of acrylic paint into cups and then each child poured their cup all over a large canvas. We then used gravity to let the paint run in all directions over the canvas to create an amazing marbled effect. As the Maples watched the paint move they exclaimed... It looks like the galaxy! Yea! I see it! There are all the planets!
From that moment on, their amazing art piece became a part of the universe.
Acrylic paint on 30 inch x 40 inch stretched canvas ready to hang on your wall!
Made by: The Maples class and teachers Toccara Taylor, Jill Victorine, and Kirsten Ruckdeschel
