The afternoon classes of the Oaks and Maples have been enjoying some elective woodworking play this spring. Skills they have been learning include sawing, splitting, sanding, filing, and gluing pieces of wood.

This piece of art was a collaboration among many of the students in both classes. They learned how to create a solid and permanent glue joint and how to set a clamp in order to hold the pieces together while it dried. Then they combined those pieces together again until we created this interesting assortment of pieces that can be used to create a playground, a doll house, or any imaginative world for their toys and stuffies!
