This framed print by Pena is entitled "After Maria - San Ildefonso." It was painted in tribute to Maria Martinez, the matriarch of San Ildefonso Pueblo located northwest of Santa Fe. She is most noted for her black on black pottery, which is held by one of the women in the scene. San Ildefonso can be seen through the window in this painting. The frame measures 29" x 31.5," the matted print 24" x 18.5."
