In 1985, Steve DiFillippo purchased a family restaurant called Davio’s in Boston’s trendy Back Bay, the first in what would become a succession of popular Northern Italian Steakhouses. In 2008, he was inducted into the Massachusetts Restaurant Hall of Fame. Today there are seven locations in the Boston area, as well as a location in The Colony, Texas and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
