Elias was formerly the owner of Sapore Cafe for over 23 years from where he also operated the Sapore Catering.  An excerpt from one reviewer of his catering service said:

An SF Chronicle article regarding the closing of Cafe Sapore had this to say: "Bikahi immigrated from Lebanon in 1984 and opened the cafe in 1996 on a residential block, making it one of the few businesses in the immediate vicinity. He found a loyal clientele. The popular cafe is known for its bagel sandwiches, breakfast quiches, soups and salads, with a Mediterranean influence."
